Have you made a commitment to yourself to take better care of your body?

You NEED to replace some items in your kitchen! Trust me on this, the little details really do matter! Being healthy is not about deprivation or going on some crazy fad diet. It’s about learning every step of the way and making small changes that become your new habits over time. You have to start with your INGREDIENTS!!!

Five Foods To Replace In Your Kitchen NOW:

1.HONEY
Still buying regular honey? Did you know that regular honey is super processed AND missing out on all the good stuff, like vitamins and enzymes, antioxidants, antiviral and antifungal properties? Not to mention it also contains high fructose corn syrup! Buy Raw Organic Honey instead. Raw Honey is in it’s purest form and promotes digestive health, boosts immunity all while also stabilizing blood pressure and sugar. This is truly a superfood!

2.BREAD
If bread is your thing, buy whole grain bread over white. White bread is stripped of all of its vitamins and nutrients, healthy fats, protein, fiber, and minerals. Plus, people who eat whole grains tend to weigh less than those who don’t! That is a double win! If whole grain is not available, choose whole wheat instead.

3.FLOUR
White flour is the worst flour you can buy. Like white bread, white flour has had all of its vitamins and nutrients stripped away, while high fructose corn syrup and preservatives have been added. Some better alternatives would be whole grain flour, brown rice flour, coconut flour, and even buckwheat flour! (Brown rice flour and coconut flour are both gluten free!)

4.SUGAR
This one can be hard, since sugar is in pretty much everything! It’s extremely hard to cut out all sugar while still enjoying the same foods you’re used to, but even cutting back helps a lot! Start checking out ingredients in the foods you buy to look for hidden added sugar. If you need something to sweeten your coffee, (raw organic) honey, stevia, or even lucuma powder are all better options than sugar. Stevia is made from the stevia plant, has a glycemic index of zero, and won’t give you cravings later. The lucuma powder is a powder made from a fruit that is super sweet! (It’s just a little hard to find sometimes. Thrive Market sells it if you’re a member!) The less sugar you consume, the less you will crave it!

5.MILK
Milk can be beneficial for you. You will hear arguments both for and against milk, and I'm not here to tell you not to drink it. But regular milk can have antibiotics and hormones added, which can be harmful. There is evidence that excessive consumption can lead to osteoporosis, weight gain, acne, and could even deplete the calcium in your bones. When buying cow's milk, look for organic or grass-fed milk. Popular alternatives are almond, cashew, hemp, coconut and rice milk.

So there you have it! If you switch out these items, I can guarantee it will kick start your health/weight loss journey and have you feeling better than ever and more motivated! I promise these 5 tips will motivate you to continue replacing your fridge and pantry with healthier options, so give it a try today! What are YOU waiting for?
